**Job Title: CNC Machinist**
**Job Description**
The CNC Machinist is responsible for operating and maintaining CNC equipment safely and efficiently to meet the company's quality and production standards. The role collaborates with fabrication, assembly, material handling, the machine shop, planning, and engineering departments.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate and maintain CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance and quality.
+ Collaborate with fabrication, assembly, material handling, machine shop, planning, and engineering departments.
+ Make adjustments to CNC programs to ensure parts are within tolerance.
+ Handle setups, speed adjustments, changeovers, and alter codes as needed.
+ Work in a fast-paced environment and address ad-hoc issues promptly.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience or at least good education with CNC machining and manual machining.
+ Ability to read tape measures and blueprints.
+ 2+ years’ experience in a heavy equipment or manufacturing environment is preferred.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Proficiency in programming and operating Haas machines.
+ Experience with Puma and/or Mori Seiki machines is beneficial, too.
+ Capability to make minor program adjustments for parts out of tolerance.

**Work Environment**
Work in a fabrication and weld shop during the night shift from 6pm to 4:30am, Monday through Friday.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ooltewah, Tennessee.
**Pay:** $21-$26.25/hr BASE RATE, depending on experience. PLUS $1.50 shift differential - **$22.75-$28 per hour starting pay**
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $28.00/hr.
