Job Description
Join an ASME Pressure Vessel Shop as a skilled CNC/Manual Machinist on the swing shift. We are seeking individuals who are self-motivated and possess excellent communication skills. This role requires a minimum of three years' experience in CNC and manual machining, focusing primarily on high-speed drills running Fanuc interface, large vertical lathes, and radial drill presses.
ResponsibilitiesOperate and maintain CNC and manual machinery, including high-speed drills and large vertical lathes.Utilize precision measuring devices with mastery.Proficiently read and interpret blueprints to ensure accuracy in machining processes.Select and sharpen high-speed tooling and inserts.Safely operate overhead bridge cranes and rigging.Lift and carry up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods during 10-12 hour shifts.Adapt to a dynamic, noisy, and occasionally smokey or dusty environment.Participate in occasional voluntary overtime to meet schedule obligations.Essential SkillsMinimum of three years' experience in machine shop operations.At least one year of experience in CNC machining.Proficiency in using precision measuring devices.Capability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.Experience with overhead bridge cranes and rigging.Additional Skills & QualificationsUnderstanding of feeds and speeds in machining processes.Knowledge of high-speed tooling selection and sharpening.Ability to work with manual machining tools such as radial drill presses.Possession of personal tools required for the job.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
You will be working in a very industrial fabrication facility, resembling a large hangar-type shop floor equipped with several overhead cranes. The environment is dirty, dynamic, and requires physical endurance.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newberg, Oregon.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $33.00/hr.
