**Job Title: Machinist** **Job Description** This position is a Machinist role, working with 50-hour work weeks and optional weekends. The role offers a flexible work schedule and involves working in a high volume, high precision, small part shop that produces upwards of 100,000 parts per day. The machinists will be trained to fit into specific departments, operating various CNC machines, including Screw Machines, Grinders, Mills, and Lathes. **Responsibilities** + Attend daily meetings to understand shift requirements and assigned work stations. + Operate up to 3 CNC machines simultaneously, performing up to 8 or 9 tool changes daily. + Load CNC machines, pull and make minor edits to programs as needed. + Conduct quality checks using Micrometers and Calipers every 300-400 parts. + Store checked parts in bins for daily shipment to customers. **Essential Skills** + 5 years of experience with CNC Machines, including Screw Machines, Grinders, and Mills. + 5 years of experience in blueprint reading and making program edits. + 2 years minimum experience in conducting quality checks using micrometers and calipers. + 5 years of experience in cutting steel. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + CNC Programming **Why Work Here?** Employees are offered an Apprenticeship program, with the opportunity to work four days per week and attend school one day per week, earning pay for a full week. Management adopts a hands-off yet direct approach, allowing employees to personalize their work stations with food, drinks, and music as long as production demands are met. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of Kentwood, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $37440.00 - $52000.00/yr. Pay for Skills program. This program gives employees the opportunity to complete courses and increase their hourly wage. Course work needs to be done on the employee’s own time and after a Home Competency is completed, there are 5 more courses employees can complete, getting a $.50 increase upon completion of each course outside of the Home Competency. All benefits but 401k are effective on the start date, and he will be eligible to participate in the 401k plan on the first month proceeding.
