Job Title: CNC Machinist
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC turning and milling machines, including mills and lathes. The role involves working primarily with Mori Siekis and Doosans in a cell environment, utilizing precision measuring tools like micrometers, calipers, and pin gauges to ensure parts meet specifications. Daily blueprint usage is required, with 1-3 setups per day, necessitating expertise in tooling and fixture selection, alongside proficiency in G and M code.

ResponsibilitiesSelect appropriate tools, machines, and materials for machinery work preparation.Set up, adjust, and operate basic machine tools and specialized or advanced variation tools for precision machining operations.Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines.Calculate dimensions and tolerances using mathematics and precision instruments such as micrometers, height stands, and calipers.Machine parts to specifications using machine tools like lathes and milling machines.Measure, examine, and test completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications using precision instruments.Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.Study sample parts, blueprints, drawings, and engineering information to determine methods and sequences of operations needed for product fabrication.Observe and listen to operating machines to diagnose malfunctions and determine the need for adjustments or repairs.Check work pieces to ensure they are properly lubricated and cooled.Position and fasten work pieces for machining.Operate equipment to verify operational efficiency.Clean and lubricate machines, tools, and equipment to remove grease, rust, stains, and foreign matter.Advise clients about materials used for finished products.Confer with engineering, supervisory, and manufacturing personnel to exchange technical information.Collaborate with Engineering and cutting tool suppliers to improve tool life.Design and create basic fixtures, tooling, and experimental parts to meet special engineering needs.Essential Skills3+ years of Machining and CNC setup experience.Basic blueprint reading skills.Ability to recognize when something is wrong or likely to go wrong.Daily operation of one or more CNC machines while maintaining quality and safety standards.Capable of lifting/pushing/pulling up to 30 pounds.Ability to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms for 8 hours or more.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in GD&T and troubleshooting.Proficiency in Solidworks, CAD/CAM software.Knowledge of CNC mills and lathes.Experience with machine setup and changeovers.Why Work Here?

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $51500.00 - $61672.00/yr.
