Job Title: CNC Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team and contribute to the production of parts for the automotive, aerospace, and medical industries. The role requires expertise in machining with tight tolerances using boring mills and CNC machines. Candidates should possess the ability to edit programs, select appropriate tooling, understand Fanuc controls, read blueprints, and utilize measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers. Proficiency in zeroing out the X-Y and Z axes and performing tool touch-offs is essential.

ResponsibilitiesOperate and manage CNC machines and boring mills.Ensure machining parts meet tight tolerance requirements.Edit and manage CNC programs to optimize performance.Select and set up proper tooling for each job.Interpret and work from blueprints and technical drawings.Use measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers for precision.Zero out X-Y and Z axes and perform tool touch-offs accurately.Essential SkillsExperience in operating boring mills and CNC machines.Proficiency in programming with VISI, Work NC, or Mastercam.Knowledge of Fanuc controls and other programming languages.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.Expertise in using measurement tools like micrometers and calipers.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with horizontal boring mills and horizontal CNC.Familiarity with machine setup processes and tool touch-offs.Ability to work independently and efficiently during night shifts.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment is a machine shop setting involving grease and dirt, with large equipment operated using overhead cranes and hi-lo systems.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00/hr.
