CNC Machinist

Aerotek is currently hiring for a CNC Machinist in the greater Baltimore, MD area! Qualified candidates will be able to perform the following duties:

Job Description

As a CNC Machinist, you will generate programs for 3 and 5 axis routers, mills, and other machining centersYou will design and develop tooling and machining fixtures, read and comprehend work orders, production instructions, 2D prints, and 3D modelsYou will track and document all revisions to product drawings and tooling, and partner with engineering and sales teams to ensure parts meet customer specificationsYou will provide feedback to management on potential risks, possible improvements, and problem resolutionYour role will ensure all projects and parts comply with required specifications and meet quality standards

Responsibilities

Precisely machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as CNC mills, and 3 and 5 axis routers, including Haas and DMSAccurately calculate dimensions and tolerances using mathematics and measuring instruments like gauges, calipers, and micrometersComplete machine setups to meet part specificationsMonitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining processEnsure that materials and molds meet quality standards and are production-readyAssist with machine maintenance and adhere to maintenance schedules

Essential Skills

Knowledge of MasterCAM and SolidWorksProficiency with CAD/CAM systemsAbility to perform job responsibilities using safe and proper techniques in accordance with company standardsAbility to consistently achieve productivity standardsCompliance with all health and safety regulations

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $33.00/hr.
