Job Title: CNC Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC machinist to join our team. You will work primarily with Bridgeport and other manual machines, focusing on setting up and operating mills and lathes. This role requires precision and attention to detail, utilizing micrometers and calipers to ensure the quality of the pieces produced.

ResponsibilitiesSet up, change over, and operate mills and lathes.Utilize micrometers and calipers for quality inspections.Read and interpret blueprints and drawings.Enter data using the computer system for labor reporting.Run machinery for 80% of the day, perform data entry for 10%, and clean and pack products for the remaining 10%.Essential SkillsExperience with CNC mill and lathe operations.Proficiency in using micrometers and calipers.Ability to perform multiple setups per day (up to 5).Familiarity with M codes and math/computer skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsProgramming experience.CMM experience.Blueprint reading and troubleshooting.Experience with grinders and grinding techniques.Knowledge of Gd&t, Haas, Bridgeport, and Mori Seiki machines.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work in a larger company environment with a CNC team of 30-50 people. Training will be provided on the 1st shift from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Regular shifts include 1st shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM and 2nd shift from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM. Steel-toed shoes and work clothes are required.

This is a longterm position based out of Morton Grove, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
