CNC Machinist- 5k Relocation To Yakima, WA
**Job Title: Machinist** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team and work on a wide variety of parts, including pistons, cylinders, and caps. You will be responsible for machining components with tolerances as tight as one thousandth of an inch, primarily using stainless and mild steel, titanium, and aluminum. Our facility is equipped with 70 different CNC machines, utilizing the universal G code language, and DNC control software called Predator. **Responsibilities** + Set up and operate various machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, hobs, and precision grinders to produce aerospace parts according to sketches. + Use machinist's hand tools and precision measuring instruments to make standard shop computations related to dimensions and tooling. + Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical processes or VIP standards. + Prepare machines for production by inspecting parts for malfunctions and troubleshooting when possible, calling for repairs if necessary. + Regulate machining by utilizing machine instrumentation knowledge and adjusting controls. + Meet production deadlines by following manufacturing schedules and procedures, resolving production problems as they arise. **Essential Skills** + Mechanical aptitude + Familiarity with precision measuring tools + CNC experience + Hands-on experience in machining **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Programming knowledge + Experience with multiple machine types, including CNC mill and CNC lathe **Why Work Here?** Join a dynamic team that supports major aerospace clients and military entities. The facility boasts over 70 machines, ranging from manual bridgeports and lathes to advanced CNC machines. You will work the 3rd shift from Sunday to Thursday, with hours from 10 PM to 6:30 AM, and a **15% shift premium on base pay** . Training will occur during daytime hours before transitioning to the full 3rd shift schedule. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of YAKIMA, Washington. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
