Job Title: CNC Machinist | $31+HR | 1st or 2nd Shift

Job Description

Join our team as a Machinist II on the 1st shift, where you will set up and operate CNC mills and CNC lathes. You will work with Fanuc controls to make program edits and operate from blueprints, tooling instructions, and work instructions. Your role will involve documentation, quality inspection, and computing data such as dimensions, rotation speeds, feed rates, and machining times.

ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate CNC mills and CNC lathes.Utilize Fanuc controls for program edits.Work from blueprints, tooling instructions, and work instructions.Ensure documentation and quality inspection.Compute data such as dimensions, rotation speeds, feed rates, and machining times.Collaborate with supervisors, programmers, engineers, and support teams to resolve problem situations.Rotate between various department work centers as required.Load and unload component piece parts weighing up to 25 lbs.Essential SkillsAt least 4+ years of machining experience.Ability to set up own CNC machines.Experience with G&M codes.Proficiency in reading blueprints and using shop math.High school diploma or GED.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with machining, CNC set up, CNC Mill, CNC Mills.Knowledge of Fanuc controllers and G-code.Familiarity with Haas, Okuma, Mazak, and other machine tools.Ability to perform precision machining and inspection using calipers, micrometers, and other tools.Experience in aerospace, precision machining, and tooling.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work in a smaller, spacious, organized, well-lit, and clean machine shop with newly added AC. Join a team of 45 employees on the shop floor, consisting of CNC mills, grinders, a full manual machining department, and a small quality and deburring department. The shop focuses heavily on the aerospace market and manufactures high-quality, custom precision spur and helical gearing and gearboxes for various industrial markets. The work schedule is 1st shift from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with optional overtime hours on Saturdays and Sundays.

The pay range for this position is $56160.00 - $64480.00/yr.
