**Job Title: CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift - $24 to $30 an hour** **Job Description** As a CNC Machinist, you will receive a work sheet each shift, containing a program code that you will load into the CNC machine. This program will guide you through all the necessary steps to set up the machine, including tools, jaws, vices, and locks. You will work with organized equipment in the shop to ensure efficient setup and execution of your tasks. Once the machine is set up, you will load the part, primarily dealing with cast iron or long metal tubing. You will monitor the machine's operation, making adjustments to speeds and feeds as needed, and perform proofing and quality checks using provided micrometers, calipers, and gauges. **Responsibilities** + Load program code into CNC machine and set up necessary tools and equipment. + Operate CNC Okuma mills and lathes with Fanuc controls, performing setups 2-3 times per day. + Handle materials such as steel tubing and cast iron blocks, ensuring tolerances down to 5 tenths of a thou. + Monitor machine operation, adjust speeds and feeds, and ensure product quality. + Perform proofing and quality checks on all parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges. **Essential Skills** + Experience with CNC setup and operation, specifically Okuma lathes and mills with Fanuc controls. + Proficiency in G&M code editing, including speeds and feeds. + Ability to perform tool changes, offsets, and part loading. + Competency in reading blueprints and using inspection tools such as calipers and micrometers. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Capability to work in a staggered start environment, accommodating up to two candidates per week. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy job security with niche work, as evidenced by long-term placements since 2017.
