Job Title: CNC Machine Operator

Job Description

The Machine Operator will ensure that the machining duration meets production standards. This role involves operating machinery efficiently, performing setups, adjusting machine settings, and ensuring quality control.

Shift: 5:00am-1:30pm M-F

ResponsibilitiesOperate machinery as per the operating instructions and ensure efficient production processes.Perform machine setups (calibration, cleaning, etc.) to start a production cycle.Control and adjust machine settings (e.g., speed) to meet quality and efficiency standards.Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines and ensure continuous supply without interruptions.Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.Test the operation of machines periodically to guarantee their smooth running.Maintain activity logs and report on daily production volumes and quality.Troubleshoot problems during machine operation and perform basic repairs and maintenance when necessary.Keep work areas clean and organized to maintain a safe working environment.Always adhere to safety guidelines and company regulations.Communicate any machine malfunctions or irregularities to the immediate supervisor for timely resolution.Monitor and manage inventory of materials and parts needed for machine operation.Collaborate with other team members to optimize production processes.Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with machine technology and operation techniques.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to increase production efficiency.Have working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer, tape measure, etc.) and the ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals.Essential SkillsMachine operationManufacturing experienceAbility to read a tape measureAbility to monitor machine producing equipmentUnderstanding of production proceduresAdherence to health and safety regulations (e.g., constant use of protective gear)Analytical skills and attention to detailTeamwork and communication skillsAbility to follow written and oral instructionsFamiliarity with control operations and automated equipmentBasic computer and mathematical skillsWillingness to undergo on-the-job trainingFlexibility to work shifts, including nights and weekends, if requiredProven experience as a machine operatorAbility to move equipment weighing up to 50 poundsAbility to stand for long hours and perform repetitive tasksPhysical stamina and strength to lift heavy items and work overtimeCandidates must possess at least one year of experience in a Machine ShopAdditional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent preferredPreference will be given to candidates with experience in a fabrication machine shopWhy Work Here?
