Job Description
Perform machining on parts and tools by operating more than one machine at a time. Use blueprints and schematics to machine the parts. This role requires the ability to lift up to 40 lbs and involves standing for the entire shift.
ResponsibilitiesPerform intermediate level machining of parts and tools with limited supervision.Set up and operate all available machine tools and perform progressive machining operations involving close tolerances.Understand qualities of metals and alloys and apply that knowledge to parts being machined.Comprehend all forms of technical documents including blueprints, drawings, written specifications, charts, and tables.Skillfully use all machinist hand tools and measuring instruments.Fit and assemble components as necessary.Set up and lay out own work from blueprints, sketches, and written specifications according to requirements.Maintain a track record of high-quality work with low rework and scrap history.Maintain high efficiencies and run rates for given machine.Work safely and as part of a high-performing team.Perform other duties as assigned.Learn both manual and CNC equipment.Essential SkillsExperience in production, CNC, and machine operation.Proficiency in reading blueprints and machining.Knowledge of manufacturing, general labor, assembly, lathe, mill, and CNC machines.Ability to read a tape measure.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to perform machining on more than one machine simultaneously.Understanding of metals and alloys.Experience with technical documents such as blueprints, sketches, and written specifications.Proficiency with machinist hand tools and measuring instruments.Track record of high-quality work with low rework and scrap history.Comfortable working with both manual and CNC equipment.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The work environment involves standing for the entire shift and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs. You will use advanced technologies and equipment, including both manual and CNC machines. The facility is designed to support high-volume, high-mix part runs.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eugene, Oregon.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
