Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Set Up Machinist to join our expanding machining department. This position involves responsibility for setting up, changing tools, making offsets, and editing the CNC machines. When setup tasks are not required, the machinist will assist in running the machine.
ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate CNC Lathe equipment with minimal supervision.Machine aircraft parts while maintaining tight tolerances as precise as .0005”.Perform critical measurements using supplied gauging.Maintain proper paperwork associated with planned jobs.Translate and understand blueprints.Utilize shop math skills effectively.Proficiency in using a wide variety of precision measuring tools.Exposure to Okuma Lathe and OSP2000 Controllers.Experience with G&M code edits.Perform setups, tool changes, and offsets.Essential Skills5+ years experience as a CNC Lathe Set Up Machinist.Proficiency in performing setups, tool changes, and offsets.Ability to edit G&M code and understand speeds and feeds.Experience with small components and quality inspections.Knowledge of metals, particularly stainless steel (90%).Ability to hold tight tolerances and interpret blueprints/GD&T.Basic toolboxes and measuring tools, including indicators.Responsible for 0-5 setups a day, and running a machine when no setups are needed.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Okuma Lathe and OSP2000 Controllers.Aerospace experience.Mastercam Programming expertise.Experience with 4 Axis/3+2 Axis.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Work in a clean facility with aerospace contracts and a lot of work lined up for the coming years. Enjoy a steady 1st shift schedule from Monday to Friday, with Saturday hours available. Overtime is available after 8 hours per day.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
