CNC Lathe Programmer
Job Title: CNC Lathe Programmer

Job Description

Responsible for developing and implementing high-quality CNC programs for turning operations.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement CNC programs for multi-axis turning operations.Select appropriate cutting tools, tool arrangements, and determine optimal cutting speeds and feeds.Conduct tooling design reviews to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and incorporate new materials.Oversee process validation during new program prove-outs.Collaborate effectively with manufacturing engineers, shop personnel, and external partners.Support operator training on new CNC equipment and programs.Assist in the design of jigs, fixtures, and specialized tooling for CNC applications.Create setup documentation and production-ready prints for work holding, fixtures, and tooling.Maintain and organize all electronic files related to part production, including CAM source files, verification files, drawings, and engineering documentation.Essential SkillsProficiency in multi-axis CNC lathe programming.Experience with live tooling and blueprint reading.5+ years of CNC programming experience in a production environment, preferably in a job shop.Ability to manipulate CAD/CAM files across multiple formats and platforms.Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).Additional Skills & QualificationsAssociate degree in a technical field is preferred.Proven experience in manufacturing precision-machined components.Experience in fixture design and design engineering.Why Work Here?

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bloomington, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $50.00/hr.
