Job Title: CNC Lathe Setup Machinist

Location: Euclid, OH

Shift: 1st (7a-3:30p)

Pay: $30-35/hr

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist capable of setting up and operating CNC lathes, specifically Doosan and Mori Seiki machines equipped with bar feeders. This role involves working in a job shop environment where you will handle orders averaging 10-50 parts. You will need to understand Fanuc controls for programming and editing G&M codes, perform machine setups, and ensure tools are cutting correctly with necessary tool changes. You will also be responsible for reading blueprints, adjusting machines accordingly, and conducting quality inspections using precision measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

Set up CNC lathes, including Doosan and Mori Seiki machines with bar feeders.Operate single turret subspindle machines with live tooling.Conduct machine setups in a job shop environment, handling orders of 10-50 parts.Program and edit G&M codes using Fanuc controls.Perform offline programming at the machine.Ensure tools are cutting correctly and perform necessary tool changes.Read and interpret blueprints to adjust machines.Measure parts accurately using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.Own and maintain quality inspection tools.

Essential Skills

5+ years of experience in CNC lathe setups and basic programming knowledge.Ability to read blueprints and use .002 tolerances.Proficiency in Fanuc controls.Capability to perform quality inspections and own micrometers and calipers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Full offline programming experience at the machine.Experience with Mitsubishi controls.Ability to set up and program mills.

Work Environment

This role operates on the 1st shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The facility is brand new, with the latest machines and technologies. The work environment is very clean and temperature-controlled, ensuring comfort and efficiency.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
