**Job Title: Lathe Machinist** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Lathe Machinist to join our team in an aerospace machine workshop. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating CNC machines, maintaining high safety standards, and ensuring the quality of the products manufactured. **Responsibilities** + Notify supervisor of abnormal situations for corrective action. + Make recommendations for improvements in methods of performance of work. + Maintain good housekeeping conditions and enforce safety practices. + Complete and maintain any required documentation. + Run multiple machines at once, including Okumas Captain L370W, Impact LU15, and LB3000 with base controls. + Operate multi-spindles such as MS52 and Swiss lathe with over 5 years of experience. + Utilize manual machines like Bridgeport, Protrak RLX, and Track DPM for machining tasks. **Essential Skills** + Strong geometric dimensional and tolerance skills. + Proficient in math skills. + Ability to read machining CNC programs with a basic understanding of common 'G' and 'M' codes. + Experience with Siemens controls for lathe machine tools. + Understanding of basic tabletop gauges such as micrometers, calipers, and bore micrometers. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + A few years of on-the-job training or machine shop experience preferred. + Experience with mill and lathe operations. + Good verbal and written communication skills. + Strong organizational and time management skills. + Proficient in problem-solving and analysis. **Why Work Here?** Our company promotes from within, providing growth opportunities for dedicated employees.
