Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Setup Machinist for our machine shop located in Santa Fe Springs, CA. This position offers competitive pay based on experience and the opportunity to work with advanced Okuma machines.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC Lathe machines, specifically Okuma models.Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to ensure precise machining operations.Conduct thorough inspections to maintain high quality standards.Perform programming tasks as needed to optimize machine performance.Manage off-sets and changeovers efficiently.Work with very tight tolerances to produce parts for various industries, including aerospace and military applications.Essential Skills
Previous experience in a machine shop environment.Proficiency in setting up and operating CNC Lathe machines.Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.Experience in working with very tight tolerances.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.Effective communication skills in English.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in an aerospace machine shop is a significant advantage.Familiarity with offsets and changeovers is highly desirable.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Work in a well-equipped facility with over 50 CNC machines, producing parts for jet fighters, commercial airplanes, helicopters, satellites, race cars, medical equipment, and more. Choose between 1st Shift (7:00 am - 3:30 pm) or 2nd Shift (3:00 pm - 11:30 pm), with initial training on the 1st Shift. Please note that some parts manufactured are used for military purposes, and candidates should be comfortable with this aspect.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
