**Job Title: CNC Lathe Machinist** Job Description We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist capable of setting up and running production for CNC turning lathe machines in our lathe department. You will assist with complex part programming for multi-spindle, multi-tool turning centers using G and M codes and live tooling. Responsibilities + Set up and operate CNC turning lathe machines. + Assist in complex part programming for turning centers. + Control tooling, including inserts and collets. + Understand machinery capabilities and limitations. + Fill out necessary paperwork, including routing verification. + Assist in determining tooling and fixturing needs. + Coordinate chip collection as needed. + Monitor equipment and machines for safety and mechanical issues. Essential Skills + Minimum of 3 years setup knowledge of CNC Lathe experience. + 5+ years of on-the-job experience. + Experience working in a job shop environment. + Proficiency in using calipers and micrometers. + Familiarity with Okuma, Hardinge, and DMG Mori equipment. Additional Skills & Qualifications + High school diploma or GED required. + Technical or machining courses are desirable. + Editing skills are a plus. + Ability to lift and carry 20-45 pounds. + Occasional stooping, reaching, walking, and sitting required.
