Job Title: CNC Lathe Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to join our team. You will be responsible for adhering to production schedules, interpreting complex geometric dimensions, and effectively operating CNC machines. Your role will include setting up machines, ensuring part specifications, and maintaining equipment while promoting a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

Adhere to production schedules by studying work orders, blueprints, and material specifications.Operate CNC machines by entering instructions and setting tool registers.Set up CNC machines by programming, editing, and adjusting tools with minimal assistance.Load raw materials safely and verify settings by measuring positions and sample workpieces.Ensure part specifications through observation and measurements, troubleshooting, and program adjustments.Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance and reporting issues for repairs.Educate and train other machinists on production, programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance.Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting actions and irregularities.Promote positive relations by supporting a work environment of tolerance and civility.Participate in problem resolution, demonstrating effective communication and resolution skills.Comply with all company policies and support the safety program.Participate in meetings, training activities, and continuing education programs.Promote core values through work performance and excellent customer service.

Essential Skills

3+ years of CNC machining and setup experience.Proficiency in reading blueprints and applying GD&T.Experience with G&M codes and editing programs.Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.Experience with Pcode and Twin Turret Lathe is a plus.

Work Environment

You will work in a manufacturing environment with natural and artificial light, exposure to ambient and controlled temperatures, and light to moderate airborne graphite dust. Personal Protective Equipment is required. Expect to stand for long periods, lift up to 75 pounds occasionally, and communicate effectively in English. Our facility is equipped with modern technology, ensuring a comfortable and efficient workplace.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Aurora, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
