Job Title: CNC Lathe Machinist
Job Description

Join a dynamic prototype machine shop located in Saginaw, Michigan as a CNC Lathe Machinist. This role offers the opportunity to work on the first shift, utilizing your expertise in CNC setups and inspections to contribute to the development of low volume, precision parts.

ResponsibilitiesSet up CNC lathe machines for multiple tasks per shift.Perform first piece inspections and tool changes.Read and interpret blueprints and G&M codes.Use calipers and micrometers for inspection.Work with materials such as 1018 carbon steel and aluminum.Manufacture fixtures and prototype low volume parts.Essential Skills5 years of CNC setup experience.Proficiency in blueprint reading and GD&T.Experience performing own setups.Ability to inspect using calipers and micrometers.Additional Skills & QualificationsProgramming in G&M Code.Experience with Mazak machines.Familiarity with low volume work and multiple setups.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment is an extremely clean machine shop with air conditioning in the summer and heat in the winter. The first shift runs from 6am to 3:30pm, with potential overtime on Fridays from 6am to 3:30pm. The weekly schedule includes approximately 49 hours, Monday through Friday, with a half-hour lunch break each day.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saginaw, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $23.00/hr.
