**CNC Laser Operator** Job Description This position is responsible for the daily set-up and operations of CNC laser cutting machines used in the production of sheet metal and plate parts. Responsibilities + Perform daily machine startup and shut-down procedures on CNC Laser cutting equipment. + Stage raw material at each work center for production processing. + Load and unload materials and parts from CNC cutting equipment to maintain the production schedule. + Perform maintenance and cleaning of production equipment and work area. + Conduct machine alignment procedures and optical cleaning to ensure CNC cutting equipment operates at peak performance. + Optimize machine cutting process by adjusting laser cutting conditions such as voltage power, gas, and feed rate. + Monitor assist gas and resonator gas levels and recommend supply requirements for daily production. + Coordinate with the supervisor for machine maintenance needs. + Monitor material usage and order materials for production throughput. + Maintain document control in accordance with department ISO standards. Essential Skills + Experience with CNC laser cutting machines, with at least 2 years of relevant experience. + Understanding of G-code for laser cutting systems. + Strong background in working with sheet metal. + Proven skills in measurement and mathematical fraction/decimal conversion. + Ability to distinguish between different material types, including Steel, A36, Grade50, and Stainless Steel. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Familiarity with G-codes, blueprints, and machine operation. Why Work Here?
