**Job Title: Laser Operator** **Job Description** A steel manufacturing and fabrication facility is seeking skilled laser operators to join their team for off shifts. As a laser operator, you will play a vital role in the production process, ensuring high-quality work through precise machine operations. **Responsibilities** + Set up, adjust, and operate various machines to perform diversified operations on different materials, usually requiring close tolerance work and a high degree of skill. + Operate laser tables and select appropriate speeds and feeds, determining operational sequences and tooling arrangements. + Diagnose and rectify tooling problems and machine malfunctions. + Set up machines for operation by other team members. + Prepare orders by processing requests and work orders, pulling materials, and packaging and staging orders for delivery. + Maintain quality service by adhering to organizational standards. + Ensure a safe, orderly, and clean work environment. + Complete work orders by entering required information. **Essential Skills** + 2+ years of production operating experience + 1+ years of laser operation experience **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in machine operation, laser operation, fabrication, and familiarity with Bystronic equipment is preferred. **Why Work Here?** Join a smaller team environment that is committed to providing training and flexibility, allowing you to grow and develop your skills. **Work Environment** This position is located in a non-climate controlled manufacturing facility, offering a dynamic and hands-on work environment. The shifts available are 2nd shift from 1:30pm to 10pm, Monday through Friday. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kansas City, Kansas. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
