This role supports one of the most critical machining work centers in the shop and is intended for a highly experienced machinist, not an entry-level operator. The ideal candidate brings hands-on programming experience, strong blueprint interpretation skills, and the ability to independently hold precision tolerances with minimal supervision. APPLY TO FIND OUT MORE!** **Responsibilities** + Set up and operate **Studer CNC grinders** for ID, OD, face, and grooving operations + Create, edit, and prove out programs directly at the machine using **Fanuc controls** + Perform complex setups including chuck jaw changes, magnetic chuck applications, and wheel dressing + Interpret blueprints, GD&T, and job specifications to achieve extremely tight tolerances + Use advanced precision gauging and inspection techniques, including first article inspection + Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and material issues to maintain quality and efficiency + Perform routine machine maintenance and follow all safety and compliance standards + Communicate effectively with team members, trainers, and leadership **Requirements:** + 5+ years of machining experience in a manufacturing or repair environment + **CNC grinding experience (Studer strongly preferred)** + Experience holding tight tolerances on precision components + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T + Proficient use of precision measuring instruments + Hands-on **Fanuc control experience** + High School Diploma or GED **Preferred:** + Manual programming experience using **G & M codes** + Engine lathe experience + Experience with program prove-out and first article inspections + Background in toolroom or high-precision machining environments **Benefits Starting from Day 1:** + Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance (including FSA and HSA options) + Life Insurance + Supplemental Life, Child, Spousal, and AD&D Insurance + Short and Long Term Disability + Retirement Planning, 401(k) plan, & Financial Wellness Resources + Educational Assistance Program + Time off Policies (including sick leave, parental leave, and paid vacation) Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on job classification and length of employment.
