**CNC Grinder** **Job Description** This role involves setting up, adjusting, and operating various CNC or manual grinders to perform a series of grinding operations such as O/D, I/D, boring, and facing on components used for manufacturing precision mechanical components. **Responsibilities** + Work from blueprints, process sheets, tooling instructions, and standard charts to identify component/manufacturing specifications. + Efficiently set up, adjust, and operate multiple grinding machine types within the department (i.e., I/D, O/D, Centerless, and Face). + Verify conformance of machined work-pieces to specifications using gauges and related measuring devices. + Modify existing CNC programs to create the finished product. + Inspect own work for correct dimensions and ensure that company quality and quantity standards are maintained, completing required documentation. + Compute data such as dimensions, rotation speeds, feed rates, and machining times. + Perform advanced troubleshooting and make appropriate adjustments. + Set up and verify preset gauges for proper calibration as required. + Use hand tools and manual machines as needed. **Essential Skills** + 5 years or more of grinding experience. + Ability to read blueprints and set up machines to specifications. + Proficiency in using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring devices. + Experience with CNC set up and operation. + Knowledge of G code and G&M codes. + Experience with machine shop tooling and tolerances. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of Downers Grove, IL. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $54080.00/yr.
