**Job Title: CNC Grinding Technician** **Job Description** Join our team as a CNC Grinding Technician on the 1st shift, where you will be responsible for the independent setup and operation of CNC-controlled grinding machines. This role is crucial for producing high-quality, tight tolerance parts using the metric system. **Responsibilities** + Independently set up and operate CNC-controlled grinding machines and center grinders. + Select, clamp, and align workpieces, fixtures, tools, attachments, and accessories for machining. + Set expansion rates on finished hydraulic holders. + Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, angle, and depth of cut. + Enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control data. + Balance grinding wheels required for OD-grinding. + Start and observe machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust controls as needed. + Communicate with supervisors or design engineers about adjustments in dimensions and tolerances. + Verify conformance of finished workpieces by checking specifications and signing off on manufacturing papers. + Collaborate with supervisors, engineering, or coworkers to resolve machining process or design difficulties. + Discuss equipment repairs with supervisors and perform all scheduled maintenance intervals. + Install replacement parts into machines and test operation to ensure functionality and performance. + Maintain work areas in accordance with the 5S system, organizing tools and cleaning spills. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in grinding and handling CNC machines. + High school diploma required; machine technology certificate preferred. + Minimum of 2 years' experience in grinding or a similar industrial field. + Understanding of hydraulic tool-holder applications. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical documents. + Experience with calipers and precision-grade gages for inspections. + Familiarity with both metric and English measurement systems. + Strong analytical skills for interpreting safety rules and procedure manuals. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in manufacturing or construction sectors is advantageous. **Why Work Here?** Be part of a team that values precision and quality in a supportive and growth-oriented work environment.
