Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Burn Table Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with CNC Plasma Oxy Fuel tables and drill mill lines, and will be responsible for setting up and managing CNC machines, performing various jobs such as drilling, grinding, and milling, and translating drawings into dimensions for production.

ResponsibilitiesSet up and manage CNC machinesOperate 3 CNC Plasma Oxy Fuel tablesOperate 2 Drill Mill lines by inserting I beams and drilling holesPerform jobs including drilling, grinding, and millingTranslate drawings into dimensions for productionOversee machines and make necessary changesSet up plasma torch with correct consumablesSafely load table with material using overhead cranes, forklifts, etc.Select, align, and run provided programs from the shop serverExamine parts for cut quality and accuracyVerify parts are correct using tape measures, calipers, gauges, fixtures, etc.Remove burrs, slag, edges, etc. using grinders and equipmentEssential SkillsExperience with CNC machines, including CNC Plasma Oxy Fuel tables and drill mill linesAbility to translate drawings into dimensionsProficiency in using tools such as tape measures, calipers, gauges, and grindersMinimum of 2 years of experience as a CNC machine operatorAdditional Skills & QualificationsKnowledge of steel fabricationExperience with CNC lathes and CNC millsAbility to safely operate overhead cranes and forkliftsStrong attention to detailWhy Work Here?

Work Environment

This role is based in an industrial fabrication shop that can be hot, dirty, and dusty. The facility has 2-5 open fans and operates in an open-air environment. Reliable transportation is necessary as you may need to travel between locations. There are openings from 4pm-12:30am for the 2nd shift. Shifts may vary between 8, 10, or 12 hours, with a typical work week consisting of 48-56 hours.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tampa, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $26.00/hr.
