CMT Technician
Job Title: CMT Technician Job Description As a CMT Technician, you will play a vital role in sampling and testing soils, concrete, asphalt, and other materials. Your responsibilities will include supporting field and lab staff to ensure tasks are completed efficiently. You will transport equipment, specimens, or documents to field staff, labs, clients, or other offices and assist in setting up equipment. Maintaining a clean work area and assisting other technicians or staff with routine tasks are essential parts of your role. You will be expected to learn and retain information to become self-sufficient and grow within the company. Adherence to quality and safety policies and procedures is crucial, and you will participate in near-miss and safety audit programs to contribute to their improvement. Responsibilities + Sample and test soils, concrete, asphalt, and other materials as needed. + Support field and lab staff in completing tasks. + Transport equipment, specimens, or documents to field staff, labs, clients, or other offices. + Assist in setting up equipment. + Maintain a clean work area. + Assist other technicians or staff with routine tasks. + Learn and retain information to become self-sufficient and grow within the company. + Follow quality policies and procedures, aiming for high-quality work. + Adhere to safety policies and procedures and participate in safety programs. Essential Skills + Experience in construction, concrete, and general labor. + 1-2 years of experience in concrete and soil testing. + Ability to lift 10 - 50 lbs. + Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. + Valid driver's license. + Ability to pass a drug and check. + High School diploma or equivalent. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Entry-level position. + Willingness to work weekends as needed. Work Environment This position requires working both outside and in a lab setting. It involves physical activities such as lifting materials and working outdoors for extended periods of time. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Worth, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
