CMM Programmer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CMM Programmer for a full-time, on-site role in a machine shop located in Santa Ana, CA. Working the day shift from 5:30am to 2pm, you will be pivotal in ensuring our manufacturing process adheres to quality standards. Your responsibilities will include conducting inspections, identifying areas for improvement, and communicating effectively with team members and management.

ResponsibilitiesConduct inspections throughout the manufacturing process to ensure products meet quality standards.Communicate quality issues with team members and management.Write CMM programs from customer-supplied .stp and Catia files.Perform quality checks using precision measuring instruments such as surface plates, height gauges, calipers, micrometers, and profilometers.Document inspection results and maintain accurate records.Write AS9100 First Article Reports.Integrate with Net Inspect.Essential SkillsProficiency in using Zeiss CMM with Calypso software.Experience in CMM programming and operation using Zeiss Calypso.Ability to write CMM programs from Customer supplied .stp and Catia files.Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience working with aerospace products strongly preferred.Firm understanding and demonstrated use of shop math, reading, understanding, and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and standards.Knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality management systems.Knowledge of ANSI Y14.5M dimensioning tolerance.Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel.Ability to conduct and participate in cause and corrective action investigations and prepare associated documentation.Work Environment

Work in a mid-size machine shop with approximately 45 staff members and a growing team. The machining team currently consists of around 25 members, including 4-5 programmers. Our facility includes departments such as deburring, quality, and shipping.

This is a Permanent position based out of Santa Ana, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
