Job Description
We are seeking an On-Site Support Engineer to work within a major MVPD operations facility. This role supports the daily operation, monitoring, and troubleshooting of customer's AWS-based Linear Video Distribution Platform. The engineer will ensure reliable content delivery, maintain integrations with back-office systems, and serve as the primary technical point of contact for the customer.
What You’ll Do
• Act as the on-site technical lead for cloud video distribution platform.
• Work closely with the customer’s operations/engineering teams to maintain uptime and resolve issues.
• Validate SRT feeds, source quality, channel configurations, and lineup accuracy.
• Support service changes and ensure alignment across customer systems and endpoints.
• Perform configuration updates and assist with platform integrations following change control processes.
• Monitor alarms, KPIs, and system health; help the customer interpret telemetry.
• Troubleshoot issues across ingest, transcode, packaging, DRM, CDN, and DAI workflows; drive root cause analysis and escalate when needed.
• Create and update runbooks, procedures, and operational documentation.
• Collaborate with remote engineering and product teams to resolve complex technical problems.
• Provide on-site technical insight for upgrades, new features, and architecture improvements.
• Participate in incident reviews and continuous service improvement efforts.
• Support API-related questions for monitoring, dashboards, and NMS integrations.
Compensation:
$55/hr to $65/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements
• 5+ years supporting or operating video delivery systems (broadcast or OTT).
• Strong background in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or SRE.
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes.
• Deep understanding of video workflows: ingest, encoding/transcoding, packaging, DRM, CDN, DAI.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, CloudFront, CloudWatch, IAM, Lambda, etc.).
• Linux administration, shell scripting, and log analysis skills.
• Solid IP networking knowledge (TCP/IP, unicast/multicast, DNS, load balancing, routing).
• Familiarity with monitoring/alerting and diagnosing system performance issues.
• Strong documentation and customer communication skills. • Experience with CI/CD, automation, or observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK).
• Understanding of DRM technologies (Widevine, PlayReady, FairPlay).
• Experience with Dynamic Ad Insertion.
• AWS or similar cloud certifications.
• Familiarity with containerized or serverless compute.
