Job Description

Our work depends on a Cloud Engineer Associate joining our dynamic team to work in a fast-paced environment, with engineering, migration, and operations. We’re looking for a self-starter, to work both as part of the team and on individual assignments, in an environment of customer mission delivery, integrity, and communications.

We’re looking to fill this role with someone who currently has the cloud skills to execute in large environments, are flexible and enjoy tackling challenges, and desire to join a large team that is building and sustaining a large multi-tenant cloud platform/enterprise and migrating/expanding/automating the enterprise.

HOW A CLOUD ENGINEER ASSOCIATE WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Designs, deploys and maintains cloud solutionsMaintains the integrity and security of systemsMaintains documentationSupports and develops automationDevelops in languages such as Bash, PowerShell, PythonMaintains/enhances knowledge of related (AWS / Azure / GCP / OCI) cloud servicesMonitors and tunes the cloud systems to achieve optimum performance levelsWorks across teams, and external customer groups to develop strategy, design solutions, and advise implementation teams during infrastructure buildoutsDeals with escalations. Make assessments, recommendations or provide solutions to resolve issuesComposes and maintains standard operating procedures and work instructions, knowledge articles, etc.


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Required Education: Technical Training, Certification(s) or DegreeRequired Experience: 0+ years of experience with Cloud Computing - AWS / Azure / GCP / OCIRequired Technical Skills: Knowledge of Linux and Windows Server; understanding of cloud computing principles and platforms (AWS / AZURE / GCP / OCI)Required Skills and Abilities: Good communication and presentation skills; ability to learn how to deliver presentations to diverse audiences at various levelsSecurity Clearance Level: NoneLocation: Hybrid at GDIT's Integrated Technology Center in Bossier City, LA

Preferred Experience:

Experience maintaining AWS environmentsExperience implementing security compliance controls for EC2, S3 and RDS environmentsFamiliarity with AWS cloud system performance (i.e. CloudWatch) toolsExperience with Active Directory configurations and implementing security measures

Preferred Certifications:

AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certificationAWS AI Practitioner certification
