The Senior Cloud Architect performs technical planning, architecture development and modification of specifications for cloud computing environments. Develops specifications for new IT cloud computing products and service offerings. Assesses the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards in order to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent technologies. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

These products, center around facilitating bi-directional exchange of information using event-driven architecture across cloud native platforms, meant to enable interoperability which is highly visible initiative in Humana. The candidate will work in small team focused on Product engineering to define Architecture, guide product engineers and collaborate with other product engineers from cross-functional teams.

+ This role will be responsible for following security architecture guidelines and collaborate with cloud security teams and establish cloud-based architecture (Iaas/PaaS/SaaS)
+ Will report to the Associate Director, Technology Solutions, IT - Business Data Analytics
Quals--
Top must have skillsets:
1. AWS services (EC2, VPC, Lambda, ECS/EKS, RDS/Aurora, S3, KMS, CloudWatch, IAM, CloudTrail)
2. Standardized VPC patterns Cloud Landing Zone (CLZ)
3. Enterprise IAM
4. cross account access patterns
5. DevOps tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, GitHub, CI/CD pipelines)
7+ years of IT experience, with at least 4 years specializing in AWS architecture or cloud engineering. Strong knowledge of core AWS services (EC2, VPC, Lambda, ECS/EKS, RDS/Aurora, S3, KMS, CloudWatch, IAM, CloudTrail). Handson experience designing and implementing AWS solutions using enterprise patterns. Proficiency with IaC and DevOps tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, GitHub, CI/CD pipelines). Deep understanding of cloud security concepts and enterprise governance models. Experience in hybrid-cloud or multi-account AWS environments. AWS certification (Solutions Architect Professional or equivalent) strongly preferred.
Architecture & Design Design cloud solutions using approved AWS architecture patterns, including: Standardized VPC patterns Cloud Landing Zone (CLZ)aligned network and security topologies Serverless and container reference architectures Approved data platform integration patterns (e.g., S3, Lambda, Glue, Redshift, API Gateway) Enterprise IAM and crossaccount access patterns Create highlevel and detailed solution architectures aligned with enterprise standards, and cloud governance.
