The Clinician provides comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health services to children, families, caregivers and staff. This role delivers individual, group, and family therapy; completes required clinical assessments and documentation; and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to support the emotional wellbeing, safety, and successful outcomes of each minor. Services are delivered in compliance with all contractual, regulatory, licensing, and accreditation standards.
Core Responsibilities
Clinical Service Delivery
Maintain a caseload that is in alignment with contact requirements, providing individual, group, and family therapy using evidence-based, trauma-informed treatment modalities. Assist minors in identifying, presenting concerns, and collaboratively developing goals and action steps. Provide culturally responsive psychoeducation and therapeutic interventions tailored to developmental, emotional, and behavioral needs.
Documentation & Compliance
Complete all required clinical assessments including mental health evaluations, risk assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge documentation. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical records.
Collaboration & Case Review
Present cases to supervisors and the clinical team for treatment planning review and progress monitoring. Participate actively as a member of the interdisciplinary care team.
Care Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement
Recommend services and assist in coordinating internal and external resources. Maintain professional communication and confidentiality.
Performance Metrics
Timely completion of assessments and documentation Demonstrated progress toward client treatment goalsConsistent delivery of trauma-informed, culturally responsive care _________________________________________________________________________________
Qualifications
Education
Master or Doctorate degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology with clinical experience required. Eligible for limited licensure with state of Michigan, application submitted preferred: Limited Licensed Professional Counselor, Temporary Limited License Psychologist, Limited Licensed Master Social Work, Licensed Professional Counselor, Limited Licensed Psychologist or Licensed Master Social Work. Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT) Training Preferred.
Additional Requirements
Valid driver's license with good driving record; reliable ongoing personal transportation suitable for safely transporting minors served; proof of insurance required.
Experience
Experience working with adolescents and trauma-impacted populations, refugee or immigrant experience preferred.

Culturally competent, trauma-informed practice Evidence-based therapeutic techniques for children, families, and groups Person-centered planning and shared decision-making
Outcome measurement and goal setting
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Knowledge of state and local human services systems Ability to lead group therapy and psychoeducational sessions Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and electronic clinical records
