Chestnut Health Systems is building a continuous pipeline of clinicians to support our mental health and substance use programs in Bloomington, Illinois. This evergreen opportunity allows us to thoughtfully match clinicians to programs based on experience, licensure, interests, and organizational needs.
Clinicians may work across outpatient, residential, court-involved, and integrated care settings, serving adults and children with substance use and mental health needs. These postings support both fully licensed clinicians and those earlier in their professional journey who are passionate about recovery-oriented, trauma-informed care.

Responsibilities Conduct mental health and substance use assessmentsDevelop and implement individualized treatment, continuing care, and discharge plansProvide individual, family, and group counseling servicesFacilitate skills-based, psychoeducational, and therapeutic groupsMaintain timely and accurate clinical documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR)Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, referral sources, and community partnersParticipate in court-involved or justice-related services when applicableSupport interns, students, or less experienced clinicians as appropriate to role and licensureModel and promote recovery-oriented and trauma-informed care practicesPromote Chestnut’s culture of customer service excellence through adherence to behavioral standardsMaintain confidentiality and security of all organizational and consumer informationPerform other duties as assigned based on program and service needs Qualifications
Chestnut welcomes clinicians with a variety of educational backgrounds, credentials, and experience levels, including:
Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field with active Illinois licensure (LCSW, LCPC, LMFT) ORMaster’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field ORBachelor’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related human services field with relevant clinical or behavioral health experienceCertified Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (CADC) credential welcomedStrong verbal, written, and organizational skillsBasic computer proficiency, including electronic medical record (EMR) systemsAre you intrigued by this opportunity but don’t meet every single requirement?

Compensation
Anticipated pay range across clinician roles:
$21.00 per hour to $61,000 annually, based on role scope, licensure, and experience.
