Clinician-Investigator Position in Infectious Diseases and Translational Science 2025-2026

The Division of Infectious Diseases in the Department of Medicine, David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA is seeking applicants for a Health Sciences Assistant Clinical Professor, Clinician-Investigator track position. This is a research-based position (approximately 80% research and 20% clinical/teaching). Applicants must be board certified in internal medicine and board eligible in infectious diseases. Applicants are preferred to have significant experience with infectious diseases consultation in both complex tertiary/quaternary inpatient and outpatient settings, and providing services to underserved and underinsured populations. Experience and knowledge of complex treatment of persons with HIV and HCV is preferred. Successful applicants will have a robust research agenda in basic/translational science focused on host-pathogen responses. Applicants should have a track record of NIH funding or equivalent or have applications under review.
A California medical license and an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. are required. Teaching of students, residents, and/or fellows is required.
