Position Overview

Reporting to the Executive Director - Clinical Services and Manager Health Services of River Park Gardens Personal Care Home, the Clinical Services Coordinator will provide leadership, operational oversight, education coordination and infection control coordination at River Park Gardens. The Clinical Services Coordinator is responsible for working in collaboration with the Executive Director to achieve excellence in resident centered care and services; staff education, coaching and mentoring; operational efficiencies; and in overall continuous quality improvement.

Experience Minimum four years management experience in health care, preferably in long-term care or geriatrics. Minimum four years clinical experience in a gerontological or long-term care environment. Experience applying evidence-based information in a healthcare environment. Experience in the use of electronic health records. Experience in the effective application of infection control measures. Experience in providing education, training and mentorship for the professional development of others. Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Bachelor degree in Nursing required. Master's degree in Nursing preferred. Advanced courses in gerontology preferred. Certification/Licensure/Registration Current registration with CRNM. Qualifications and Skills Ability to work a flexible schedule with occasional evenings/nights/weekends/statutory holidays. Ability to deliver educational presentations to various groups. Ability to lead and perform within an interdisciplinary team. Ability to plan, manage and implement change. Ability to remain organized and manage competing priorities. Ability to effectively manage budgets, materials and human resources. Ability to demonstrate effective critical thinking, conflict resolution and decision-making skills. Ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills in MDS. Ability to demonstrate appropriate skill level with related computer programs, such as: Microsoft Office, Scheduling Software, ESP/SAP. Committed to life-long learning. Physical Requirements
