Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist - Microbiology - Per Diem.
In this role, the successful candidate Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures performs various clinical laboratory tests in one or more sections of the Laboratory Department in order to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease Analyzes and interprets test results and ensures accuracy of same Repeat tests as necessary especially those yielding abnormal or atypical results and notifies appropriate personnel of such results

To qualify you must have a BS in Medical Technology which includes a clinical internship or BS in a related discipline with one year supervised clinical laboratory experience NYS Education Department Clinical Laboratory Technologist License or Eligible Professional accreditation preferred Analytical skills necessary to analyze data and perform mathematical calculations Basic knowledge of computer fundamentals and experience with laboratory information systems Technical skills necessary to operate maintain and troubleshoot instrumentation and perform routine and complex testing Effectively communicates detailed data and procedures Works effectively in high pressure situations Excellent organizational skills Excellent interpersonal skills Performs supervisory responsibilities.
