Job Title: Clinical Laboratory Technician Job Description Join our dynamic Neuroimmunology Laboratory, where we offer a unique clinical autoimmune serology service that integrates autoimmune neurology practice with cutting-edge research. Our testing services, performed on serum and spinal fluid, play a crucial role in diagnosing autoimmune disorders affecting the brain, nerve, and muscle. These conditions are often initially mistaken for diseases such as multiple sclerosis, stroke, or degenerative disorders. Our laboratory utilizes a variety of testing methods, including tissue and transfected cell-based fluorescence microscopy, radioimmunoassay, flow cytometry, western blot, ELISA, and chemiluminescence assays. With our rapid growth, exemplified by performing approximately 2.2 million tests in 2022, we are implementing automation lines to enhance efficiency. Responsibilities + Conduct clinical testing on serum and spinal fluid to diagnose autoimmune disorders. + Utilize multiple testing methodologies including fluorescence microscopy, radioimmunoassay, and flow cytometry. + Assist in the implementation and troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation. + Perform specimen processing in compliance with laboratory standards. + Support the transition to automated testing processes to improve laboratory efficiency. Essential Skills + Proficiency in laboratory and medical laboratory testing. + Experience in troubleshooting laboratory instrumentation. + Strong Experience in chemistry and biology. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a human biological science such as Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Animal Science, Marine Biology, Neuroscience, etc. + Healthcare Experience is advantageous. + Master's degrees are acceptable, OPT candidates are welcome. Work Environment The work schedule includes shifts from Wednesday to Saturday, 9 PM to 7:30 AM. Training is conducted from Monday to Thursday, 9 PM to 7:30 AM. Pay Rate: $25/hr Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rochester, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
