Clinical Laboratory Assistant - Phlebotomist

Work location: Texas Health Allen, 1105 Central Expwy North, 75013
Work hours: PRN - As Needed. Must be available for night shift coverage.

Here's What You Need
+ High School Diploma or Equivalent (Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency)
+ Six months experience as a phlebotomist or completion of a one semester course in phlebotomy
+ PBT(ASCP) - Phlebotomy Technician upon hire preferred.
+ One year of hospital phlebotomy experience with specimen processing preferred
What You Will Do
* This position will perform phlebotomy, specimen processing and limited outpatient services.
+ Follows laboratory procedures for handling, and processing in a manner which is appropriate and follows safety guidelines
+ Follows laboratory procedures for handling unacceptable specimens
+ Follows established laboratory test procedures
+ Performs procedures in other areas of the Laboratory as required by hospital entity
