Clinical Applications Analyst: Cerner SurgiNet & Anesthesia

CTG is seeking a Cerner SurgiNet & Anesthesia Analyst to join our team. The Cerner SurgiNet & Anesthesia Analyst will be responsible for supporting and optimizing perioperative clinical workflows across the surgical continuum. This role focuses on configuring and maintaining Cerner SurgiNet, Anesthesia, and related modules to ensure seamless documentation, accurate scheduling, and reliable device integration. The analyst partners closely with perioperative leadership, anesthesia teams, and IT stakeholders to enhance system performance and improve the clinician experience.
**Key Responsibilities**
**SurgiNet & Anesthesia Application Support**
+ Configure, maintain, and optimize Cerner SurgiNet and Anesthesia applications, including documentation templates, case workflows, and clinical content.
+ Troubleshoot system issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement long‑term solutions to support safe and efficient surgical care.
+ Collaborate with perioperative and anesthesia teams to align system functionality with clinical best practices.
**PeriOp Documentation**
+ Build and maintain perioperative documentation tools, including pre‑op, intra‑op, and post‑op documentation workflows.
+ Ensure documentation templates support regulatory requirements, clinical standards, and operational needs.
+ Partner with clinical educators to validate documentation accuracy and usability.
**Scheduling Book Management**
+ Configure and support the Cerner Scheduling Book, including case scheduling rules, resource allocation, and block scheduling.
+ Work with OR leadership to optimize scheduling workflows, reduce bottlenecks, and improve visibility into surgical case flow.
+ Maintain accurate configuration of rooms, providers, equipment, and procedural resources.
**BMDI (Bedside Medical Device Integration)**
+ Support integration of anesthesia machines, monitors, and other perioperative devices with Cerner through BMDI.
+ Troubleshoot device connectivity issues and coordinate with biomedical engineering and vendors to ensure reliable data flow.
+ Validate device mappings, data accuracy, and workflow alignment with anesthesia documentation.
**Testing, Training & Change Management**
+ Participate in system upgrades, enhancements, and new module implementations, including test planning and execution.
+ Develop training materials, workflow guides, and tip sheets for perioperative and anesthesia end users.
+ Provide go‑live support and ongoing optimization to ensure smooth adoption of system changes.
**Collaboration & Communication**
+ Serve as a liaison between clinical teams, IT, and Cerner support to ensure timely issue resolution.
+ Communicate system updates, workflow changes, and project impacts clearly to stakeholders.
+ Participate in perioperative governance meetings to gather requirements and provide system insights.
**Qualifications**
**Required**
+ Experience supporting Cerner SurgiNet, Anesthesia, or other Cerner Millennium perioperative applications.
+ Strong understanding of perioperative workflows, including scheduling, documentation, and anesthesia processes.
+ Familiarity with BMDI concepts and device integration workflows.
+ Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $130,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
