Clinical Applications Analyst: Cerner PowerChart
CTG is seeking a Cerner PowerChart Analyst. This position plays a key role in supporting, optimizing, and enhancing the Cerner Millennium electronic health record (EHR) with a focus on Inpatient Orders, iView, PowerForms, Rules, and Dietary system integrations (including CBORD and Timeless). This role collaborates closely with clinical, operational, and technical teams to ensure that workflows are efficient, compliant, and aligned with organizational goals. Key Responsibilities System Design, Build, and Optimization Configure, maintain, and optimize Cerner PowerChart components, including: Inpatient Orders (orderables, order sets, order workflows) iView (documentation templates, bands, dynamic groups, data elements) PowerForms (form design, logic, workflow integration) Rules (CCL rules, MPages logic, dynamic form behaviors) Analyze clinical workflows and translate requirements into effective EHR solutions. Ensure build adheres to Cerner best practices, regulatory requirements, and organizational standards. Integration & Dietary Systems Support Support and maintain integrations between Cerner and dietary systems such as: CBORD (nutrition management, diet orders, menu interfaces) Timeless (meal ordering, tray tracking, dietary workflows) Troubleshoot interface issues, data flow problems, and order communication errors. Collaborate with dietary services to ensure accurate and timely transmission of diet orders and patient information. Testing & Quality Assurance Develop and execute test scripts for new functionality, upgrades, and patches. Validate order workflows, documentation flowsheets, and form logic. Participate in system upgrades, domain refreshes, and regression testing. Support & Troubleshooting Provide tier‑2/3 support for PowerChart-related issues. Investigate and resolve problems related to orders, documentation, rules firing, and dietary interfaces. Monitor system performance and proactively identify areas for improvement. Collaboration & Communication Work closely with clinical stakeholders to gather requirements and validate solutions. Partner with IT teams (interfaces, reporting, infrastructure) to support cross‑functional initiatives. Deliver training, documentation, and knowledge transfer to end users and support staff. Qualifications Required Experience supporting or building within Cerner Millennium / PowerChart. Hands-on experience with: Inpatient Orders iView documentation PowerForms design and maintenance Rules (CCL, PowerForms logic, or MPages rules) Dietary systems such as CBORD or Timeless Strong understanding of clinical workflows in an inpatient setting. Ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
