Clinical Applications Analyst: Cerner HIM

CTG is seeking a Cerner HIM Analyst to join our team. The Cerner HIM Analyst will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and optimizing Health Information Management (HIM) workflows within Cerner Millennium. This role ensures accurate documentation, compliant coding and release‑of‑information processes, efficient deficiency management, and reliable document imaging operations. The analyst collaborates with HIM leadership, clinical teams, IT, and external vendors to maintain system integrity and support high‑quality patient record management across the organization.
**Key Responsibilities**
**AccessHIM Support (ROI & Coding)**
+ Provide application support for **AccessHIM** , including **Release of Information (ROI)** and **Coding** workflows.
+ Troubleshoot user issues, workflow errors, and system discrepancies to ensure timely and compliant HIM operations.
+ Collaborate with HIM leadership to optimize coding and ROI processes within Cerner.
**Deficiency Analysis**
+ Support and maintain **Deficiency Analysis** workflows, including chart completion rules, provider assignments, and deficiency routing.
+ Monitor deficiency queues and troubleshoot issues related to incomplete documentation, missing signatures, or incorrect assignments.
+ Partner with clinical documentation teams to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
**CPDI / Batch Scanning (Kofax)**
+ Support **CPDI** (Clinical Patient Document Imaging) workflows, including **batch scanning** operations using **Kofax** .
+ Monitor scanning queues, troubleshoot ingestion or indexing issues, and ensure timely availability of scanned documents in the patient chart.
+ Collaborate with HIM imaging teams to optimize scanning workflows and maintain high‑quality document capture.
**Transcription (DeliverHealth)**
+ Provide application support for **DeliverHealth** transcription workflows integrated with Cerner.
+ Troubleshoot transcription routing, document delivery, and provider signature workflows.
+ Coordinate with vendors and HIM leadership to resolve transcription issues and optimize turnaround times.
**ESH (Document/Event Code Build)**
+ Build and maintain **Document Types** , **Event Codes** , and related configuration within **Enterprise Scheduling (ESH)** and HIM‑related Cerner components.
+ Ensure accurate mapping of document types to workflows, scanning processes, and deficiency rules.
+ Support new document type requests, updates, and organizational changes.
**Required Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience supporting **Cerner Millennium** , specifically HIM‑related applications.
+ Strong understanding of:
+ AccessHIM (ROI & Coding)
+ Deficiency Analysis
+ CPDI / Kofax batch scanning
+ DeliverHealth transcription workflows
+ ESH document/event code build
+ Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
+ Ability to analyze HIM workflows and translate them into effective system configurations.
+ Familiarity with HIM operations, regulatory requirements, and clinical documentation standards.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $115,000 to $125,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
