Clinical Applications Analyst: Cerner Core

CTG is seeking a Cerner Core Analyst to join our team. The Cerner Core Analyst will be responsible for the foundational configuration, maintenance, and support of Cerner Millennium’s core components. This role ensures accurate user and provider records, reliable location structures, efficient communication workflows, and a seamless patient experience across the organization. The analyst collaborates with clinical, operational, and technical teams to maintain system integrity, optimize workflows, and support high‑quality patient care. Key Responsibilities User & Provider Account Management Perform user and provider account setup, updates, and terminations, ensuring accurate demographic, credentialing, and role‑based access. Maintain provider attributes such as specialties, scheduling details, DEA/NPI information, and ordering privileges. Troubleshoot access issues and coordinate with security teams to ensure compliance with organizational policies. Location & Organizational Structure Maintenance Build and maintain locations, nurse units, departments, and organizational hierarchies within Cerner. Ensure accurate mapping of locations to clinical workflows, scheduling, charging, and documentation. Collaborate with operational leaders to support new department openings, relocations, and structural changes. Work Queue Management Monitor and maintain work queues to support registration, scheduling, HIM, and clinical workflows. Troubleshoot queue errors, routing issues, and workflow bottlenecks. Partner with operational teams to optimize queue logic and ensure timely task completion. Message Center Support Configure and support Message Center workflows, including pools, proxies, auto‑routing, and provider communication tools. Troubleshoot message delivery issues and ensure reliable communication between clinical teams. Maintain documentation for Message Center configurations and best practices. Patient Portal Support Support configuration and maintenance of the Patient Portal, ensuring a seamless patient experience for messaging, scheduling, results, and documentation access. Troubleshoot patient access issues and collaborate with support teams to resolve enrollment or authentication problems. Assist with portal enhancements, content updates, and workflow optimization. Required Skills & Qualifications Experience supporting Cerner Millennium, specifically core build components. Strong understanding of: User and provider account management Location and organizational structure build Work queue configuration Message Center workflows Patient Portal functionality Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills. Ability to analyze operational workflows and translate them into effective system configurations. Familiarity with healthcare operations, regulatory requirements, and clinical workflows. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
