Clinical Applications Analyst: Cerner Case Management

CTG is seeking a Cerner Case Management Analyst to join our team. The Cerner Case Management Analyst will play a key role in supporting, optimizing, and maintaining the Cerner Care Management solution within a healthcare organization. This position ensures that clinical and operational teams can effectively manage patient care transitions, utilization review, discharge planning, and interdisciplinary workflows. The analyst collaborates closely with clinical stakeholders, IT teams, and Cerner support to enhance system performance and align functionality with organizational goals. Key Responsibilities System Support & Maintenance Serve as the primary subject matter expert for Cerner Care Management modules, including Case Management, Social Work, and Utilization Management. Troubleshoot system issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and coordinate resolution with internal teams and Cerner support. Monitor system performance, data integrity, and workflow accuracy. Workflow Optimization Analyze current-state workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, compliance, and user experience. Configure and optimize Cerner Care Management components such as assessments, documentation tools, rules, alerts, and worklists. Support interdisciplinary care coordination by aligning system functionality with clinical best practices. Implementation & Upgrades Participate in new Cerner implementations, enhancements, and system upgrades. Conduct system testing, validation, and change management activities. Develop and maintain system documentation, configuration records, and technical specifications. User Training & Support Provide end-user support, including troubleshooting, workflow guidance, and issue escalation. Develop training materials and deliver training sessions for clinical and operational staff. Act as a liaison between clinical departments and IT to ensure system changes meet user needs. Reporting & Analytics Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and metrics related to case management workflows, patient throughput, and regulatory requirements. Support quality improvement initiatives by providing data insights and analysis. Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Information Systems, Nursing, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Experience working with Cerner Millennium, preferably within Care Management or related clinical modules. Strong understanding of case management workflows, discharge planning, and utilization review processes. Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
