GENERAL DUTIES
Supervises and trains clerical staff in administrative operations of the department.Prepares and documents confidential correspondence, reports, and related documents.Ensures the work assignments are completed within the designated time frame.Supervises financial affairs and monitors bills, staff performance and work schedules.Hires, trains and supervises office staff to achieve operational efficiency.Ensures all activities are compliant with the applicable policy and procedures.Handles financial affairs.Directs operation of practice.Performs any other duties and tasks as assigned.Monitors practice standards.Supervises the daily activities of front office staff, and monitors efficiency and productivity of front office operations, in addition to developing and attaining performance goals and objectives.Assists in training team members as needed.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Required: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent AND 4 years of previous office management experience.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Must be competent in basic business math, able to operate a calculator, CRT, typewriter, copier, fax machine and have good working knowledge of a computer.Must have extensive working proficiency in all aspects of physician practice operations and procedures.Must possess the ability to write, implement, and monitor medical office policies and procedures.Ability to manage administrative and clinical team members.Must have good medical terminology knowledge.Must have good working knowledge of insurance and regulatory requirements.Must be able to accept and adapt to changes in work schedule.Must possess good analytical and problem-solving skills.Must be able to work independently and supervise staff.Must possess excellent verbal communication and people skills.Must maintain strict confidentiality.Must be able to handle multiple job tasks in a very stressful environment.Must be able to meet the demands of timelines.
