Client Services Leader - Risk Management Practice

We are seeking a talented individual to join the Risk Management Practice division at Marsh. This role will be based in Sandton, Johannesburg, hybrid and has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

To oversee the Client Service Delivery model across teams and delivery models, through Team Managers, ensuring best practice is applied across all teams, Client Executives, and “Placing the Best Person in Front of the Client”. Overseeing teams and direct management of Team Managers in the respective areas.

We will count on you to:

Revenue and Finance

Achieve and drive revenue budget and NOI for the RMP portfolio of clients

Accurate and timeous Forecasting, within 95% accuracy within teams

Accurate variance Reporting on a monthly basis

Management and responsibility for teams’ budgeting process and Expense control

Ensure coaching and Mentoring of Client Executives on Financials Reporting and to develop      skills where required

Ensure teams are fully trained and competent on Dashboard where required

Maximize credit control within the client services team

Client Service Delivery

Ensure overall client renewal and retention strategies across teams and delivery models are actioned and achieved

Ensure client fees are negotiated and handled at the appropriate level, to ensure consistent revenue growth, / in line with the strategy

Ensure Client Executives comply with Marsh Service Standards, through the management of the Team Managers and the auditing process, where necessary

Oversee client renewals s

Provide support to Team Managers on Client renewals where necessary

Ensure overall client retention for the RMP portfolio

Drive Marsh 3D delivery model and ensure best practice is consistently applied across all clients

Grow client revenue through expanded and new business, and cross-selling for the portfolio with assistance of the new business team

Where necessary, assisting Team Managers / Client Executives with difficult or contentious claims

Relationship Management

Develop, Manage and retain excellent working relationships with the Insurance Market, in conjunction with the Placement Team Leader and/or other Management

Attend as necessary Insurer functions for Relationship building and networking

Foster and maintain sound working relationships with Internal and Local Specialist Divisions, and the Placement Team

Appropriate and relevant client entertainment within Company protocols and parameters

Attend and participate in national client services forums.

General Management and Leadership

Ensure team compliance to legislation and Marsh protocols and policies, ensuring client executives are trained and familiar with relevant Acts, Policies and Procedures and Legislation.

Drive Talent Review, Succession Planning, Colleague Development, and Performance Management in the teams and reportees

Participate in recruitment and selection strategies, and refer potential future Talent to Human Resources

What you need to have:

Grade 12 certificate and;

Insurance qualification (preferably Associate / Licentiate) / Equivalent Business Degree

10 years’ experience in Insurance industry with a minimum of 5 years staff management experience of teams / people

Computer literacy on MS Word, Excel (intermediate level) and PowerPoint
