Client Service [Multiple Positions Available]

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Manage Global Distributed Operating Model. Actively participate in the management and oversight of offshore hubs and other business partners. Coordinate and monitor fund administration group activities in calculating periodic and annual distribution requirements and in performing monthly expense projections and accruals, monthly calculation of asset-based fees, disbursement analysis, and audit/shareholder report preparation support. Identify and provide guidance to global hubs, supervise staff on treatment of complex financial transactions and arrangement to ensure proper recording of expenses. Act as the primary contact for client inquiries, requests and ad hoc projects on treasury issues and assists in developing and adjusting department procedures and systems enhancements. Participate in and / or lead departmental initiatives, training, and projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Management, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Client Service, Client Service Associate, Fund Accounting Analyst, Fund Servicing Associate, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires 5 years of experience with the following: analyzing financial reporting statements, trial balances, and complex portfolio turnover calculations; gathering and refining business requirements for both fund and firmwide implications in a compliance setting; Working with Harmonized Sales Tax and the impact on Canadian Funds, with respect to both expense structure and distribution-related impacts; Analyzing and presenting on trial balance accruals, payment issues, and client needs; working across multiple teams to support downstream information; providing client service experiences on a daily basis and interacting with key stakeholders at the client level to develop and provide solutions; Anticipating issues within the distribution workstreams by leveraging experience and aptitude to review distribution rates; driving initiatives to increase bandwidth and scale additional responsibilities for accurate results in calculating distributions as well as contractual management fees; performing distribution research including tolerance breaks and pre-determine client thresholds and responding to client inquiries regarding fund and class level divergence and breaks; working with management on Expense Ratios and performing additional research for Open-End and Closed-End Funds; performing analysis and stress testing to ensure optimized performance during system updates and maintenance.
