Job Description

Top-level technical expert responsible for design and development of a client/server environment. Develops strategy of client/server system and the design infrastructure necessary to support that strategy. Advises on selection of technological purchases with regards to processing, data storage, data access, and applications development. Sets standards for the client/server relational database structure for the organization (SQL, ORACLE, SYBASE, etc.). Advises of feasibility of potential future projects to management.

Performance Shall Include:

Providing technical expertise and assist with network integration and consolidation efforts across multiple network environmentsAddressing and resolving complex technical problems relating to the installation and upgrade of network hardware and systemsInterfacing with customers, vendors and other technical staff to analyze business and technical requirementsDocumenting engineering standards, leads in the development of network architecture and engineering designs and changesEvaluating current and emerging network technologies, conducts technical assessments and making recommendation to the Chief EngineerPerform network modeling, analysis, and planning

Experience

7 - 9 years related experience

Education

Bachelor’s degree in a related area OR Associate’s degree in a related area + 2 years’ experience OR equivalent experience (4 years)

Certifications

IAT Level 2 - within 6 months of the date of hire

Security Clearance

TS/SCIMust be able to obtain - TS/SCI with CI poly

Other Requirements

Ability to solve complex problems with many variables
