The Client & Broker Engagement (CBE) Strategic Business Manager, APAC is a critical execution and coordination role that enables disciplined delivery of the APAC CBE strategy. Reporting to the Head of Client & Broker Engagement, APAC, the role partners closely with CBE leadership and stakeholders across Product, Claims, Multinational, Marketing/Communications, Operations, Finance and other key functions to drive consistency, pace and outcomes across priority initiatives.
This role is responsible for ensuring APAC CBE priorities are delivered effectively and consistently across the region.
Key responsibilities
Strategy execution and programme management
+ Lead the programme management and coordination of APAC Client & Broker Engagement (CBE) initiatives and strategic priorities (e.g., strategic broker engagement initiatives, client engagement activity, customer experience initiatives and other CBE-led priorities).
+ Provide project management for APAC CBE projects, ensuring clear project plans are in place, governance is established, timelines are adhered to, and risks and dependencies are actively managed.
+ Coordinate and collaborate across countries, products and functions to ensure consistent execution of strategic initiatives and alignment to APAC and AIG direction.
Operating rhythm, governance and facilitation
+ Facilitate working groups, committee sessions and cross-business forums, including agenda planning, materials preparation, minutes and actions, decision logging and follow-through.
+ Monitor action items and deliverables across key initiatives; provide proactive follow-up to drive closure and outcomes.
+ Identify and drive business and process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency, effectiveness and stakeholder experience (internal and external).
Executive support, communications and event content
+ Prepare and brief the Head of CBE - APAC for presentations, high-level meetings, interviews, speeches, townhalls and key market events.
+ Provide input into agenda and content for key CBE events (e.g., client forums, broker events, webinars and other strategic engagements), ensuring consistency of narrative and messaging.
+ Develop consistent, professional documents, templates and materials in line with AIG brand requirements; elevate quality and consistency across APAC outputs.
+ Research, compile, analyse and summarise data to support CBE initiatives, stakeholder engagement and executive decision-making.
+ Prepare executive and strategic partner reports and updates, including monitoring progress against priorities and producing regular APAC CBE updates for senior leadership audiences.
Stakeholder and partner management
+ Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the APAC business (products, key functions and country leadership) to ensure alignment and efficient delivery.
+ Where required, work with selected external partners to support joint initiatives and ensure coordination on agreed outcomes.
+ Work closely with distribution leadership in AIG International and relevant global partners to support a consistent global approach where applicable.
Qualifications and capabilitiesExperience and education
+ Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Business, Law or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
+ Demonstrable experience in programme and/or project management and strategic execution within a complex, matrixed, international environment (APAC experience strongly preferred).
+ Proven experience supporting executive-level stakeholders with high-quality materials, recommendations and decisions based on complex data and information.
Core skills
+ Strong strategic execution and project management capability with a track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Advanced capability in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word), including executive-level presentation and report development.
+ Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills (internal and external).
+ Ability to deal well with ambiguity, prioritise effectively, handle conflict/difficult situations and deliver outcomes through influence.
+ High integrity and discretion; comfortable handling confidential and sensitive information.
+ Strong attention to detail, with a practical, proactive and solutions-oriented mindset; creative problem solver and lateral thinker.
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and change in a productive and positive manner.
