Client Advisor

The Client Advisor consults with clients on their service requirements, insurance needs, and carriers, providing expert advice on emerging products and market conditions that impact insurance coverage. This role is for an established, independent individual contributor whose work has a direct impact on the team’s outcomes. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong communication and relationship management skills and will work closely with clients and insurers to deliver a first-class service. This position offers significant client involvement and opportunities for career progression within our Norwich office.

We will count on you to:

Lead the renewal process in partnership with the Client Executive and wider servicing team.

Serve as the primary contact for client communications regarding insurance programmes, managing query distribution within the service team.

Manage client expectations and timescales effectively.

Resolve complex client queries and changes in cover or risk, providing guidance and coaching to junior colleagues.

Develop and execute renewal and placement strategies alongside senior Advisory leaders and Client Executives.

Analyse carrier quotes and provide insights to senior colleagues and clients to support solution development.

Conduct contract reviews and assess indemnity/insurance clauses.

Support senior Advisory colleagues with research and document preparation for new insurance and risk products.

Supervise technical output and undertake insurance projects on behalf of the team.

Manage follow-up with underwriters to ensure accurate coverage specifications.

Build and maintain client and market contacts to deliver effective client programmes.

Contribute to internal knowledge sharing on evolving risk and insurance market conditions.

Enhance client retention through excellent risk solutions and service.

Network across Marsh divisions to provide comprehensive client service solutions.

Lead multinational implementation and strategic delivery.

Challenge and improve processes to enhance client experience.

Prepare reports on specific projects.

What you need to have:

Proven experience handling medium to large UK and global accounts.

Excellent interpersonal skills with client-facing experience preferred.

Ability to remain calm under pressure and work flexibly as needed.

Strong organisational skills to manage multiple enquiries simultaneously.

Awareness of clients’ business, insurance programmes, and service plans.

Strong numeracy and attention to detail.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
