We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Office Editorial Assistant to support our continuing legal education programs. This role offers a unique opportunity for those seeking to enhance their legal research and writing skills while gaining hands-on experience in a professional team environment.  This position not only allows for skill enhancement but also provides networking opportunities with Michigan lawyers, making it a valuable experience for aspiring legal professionals.

Responsibilities*

95% - Provide assistance to Director of Online Resources and Publications and staff attorneys in the development and maintenance of online resources:

Perform light legal research and procure and sort data as assigned to support educational offeringsCommunicate effectively with and assist staff and volunteer lawyersPrepare comprehensive outlines of educational offerings for various programsReview and edit transcripts of educational offerings to ensure accuracy and clarityPrepare and maintain project spreadsheets to track progress, deadlines, and budget goals

5% - Assist with other clerical duties as assigned to support the department

Required Qualifications*Undergraduate degree from an accredited college/universityPending applications to one or more ABA accredited law schoolsStrong attention to detail with the ability to carefully follow directionsExcellent time management skills to meet deadlinesAbility to work cooperatively in a team environmentDesired Qualifications*Flexibility in work hours, generally 8:00a-5:00p Monday through Friday, with the possibility of working in 2-4 hour blocks of time at the ICLE officeModes of Work
